Client Case Study: Grunenthal

Grunenthal, a major EU-based Pharma company, invited us to help them build their capability to manage CRO relationships to a high level of excellence.

We were asked to work with a pilot initiative, a new team working with a newly contracted CRO. It was necessary to develop the relationship between them to a high level of effectiveness, and generate learning from this that would form part of the re-useable system for the whole organisation to use in future partnering.

To date, the first part of the work is largely complete. With our influence, we managed to improve the alignment of various different players in the internal team, the lack of which was at the heart of some communication problems. Then, at a kickoff meeting with the CRO, we established a detailed action plan for the coming months, building in measures of the relationship, as well as regular reviews.
